LEELA WITHANA ELDERS HOME

Leela Withana Elders Home is a female home established in 1999 and situated in Warapalana, Gampaha District of Sri Lanka,with facilities to provide permanent residence for 25 elders. We are government registered elders home in Sri Lanka to receive support and assistance for maintenance and medicine requirements from local and foreign donors.

Founded by late Mrs. VPK Leelawathi Menike on a land donated by Leelawathi Menike. Leela Withana Elders Home was a charity managed by late Mrs Leelawathi Menike 25 years ago. Today this organization is managed by a steering committee of four retired government officers.

At the beginning facilities were given only for 5 elderly citizens,today the home has capacity to serve 25 elders adequately. From the initial steps taken by the founder, the 4 members of steering committee have expanded the service while ensuring the residents a happy life coupled with Buddhist religious environment.

With the aim of helping senior citizens who cannot support themselves financially and families who face the challenges of providing good care for their elderly family members, We strive to provide a happy home when they can spend the rest of their lives in peace and comfort.

Our well trained and experienced team of caregivers ensure that all the requirements for the elderly residents are being met.

While the well being of our residents is assured, they also experience a sense of community that they can belong to and thrive in Leela Withana Elders Home.

We strive to maintain a quality living standard for the residents with the help of the donors for which we are heighly appreciated.

Construction of two story building for male elderly citizens is being carried out by the management is to be completed within next year.
